I WAS A FIRST-GENERATION COLLEGE STUDENT (I’m willing to help)
Once a first-generation college student, I now coach college students in reading and writing so that they can acquire the habits of creative minds, make the most of their immersion in the intellectual, artistic, and professional communities of the University, and contribute the work of their hearts and minds to solving our world’s complex problems.
A long-suffering fan of the Minnesota Timberwolves, I nevertheless hold on to the hope that this year is the year it all comes together. Final 2023-24 regular season record: 56-26. 3rd in the Western Conference. First round playoff opponent – Phoenix Suns.
I’m proud to be part of the team at the UNE Student Academic Success Center, one of just seven National College Learning Center Association Learning Centers of Excellence nationwide.
