This is the list of films to choose from for the Big-D Discourse project. You’ll find these films for a small fee on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, iTunes, or other streaming services. You will certainly need to view these films more than once to write about them. Consider buying them instead of renting. Pro tip: Don’t pay extra for HD versions of films.
If you think other films might be relevant for this project, let me know. I’ll add them. Click on the links below to be taken to each film’s Internet Movie Database entry.
Did you know that UNE has it’s own streaming video service called Kanopy? You may need to use your UNE credentials to login to gain access to Kanopy. I particularly recommend the Critereon Collection of classic films, Art House/Indie Films, and Academy Award Winners and Nominees. There are lots of awesome documentaries about hot-button topics, anthropological films about other cultures, and “weird science” films. Check it out. It’s free to UNE students. And who doesn’t like free?
